AM2340 Module - Eµ Systems VC Lag Processor
Overview
This module is a clone of the Voltage Controlled Lag Processor in the Eµ Modular. It has two modes, linear and exponential, which can be continuously varied between. In linear mode the module acts as a slew limiter, in exponential
mode the module acts as a filter. This module is typically used to add slide to control voltages, such as portamento.
Original Circuit Dave Rossum originally designed the Voltage Control Lag Processsor in 1973
and released the module in January 1974. It was updated in 1976, and its the Rev 2 schematic that is used in this clone. This module is relatively simple to build. The original circuit used 1458 Op Amps, a TL072 Op Amp, a CA3046
transistor array and the rare AD820 matched transistor pair for the exponential response.
Cloned Circuit
The same design is used for the clone, with the AD820 replaced with a modrn SSM2200 dual trabnsistor chip and the LM1458's replaced with low offset LT1013's.
Panel The front panel is a standard AM design, 90mm
wide and 4U high, with black lettering. Controls knobs are standard Eµ Modular designs.
