Rare Analog Synths

Overview From 1968 - 1984 the analog synthesizer was continuously developed and perfected by a range of "start-up" music technology companies in the USA, Europe and Japan. Some of this fascinating development history has been documented in Vintage Synthesizer books, and in retro-articles in leading magaines. But there remain more stories to be told, and more analog rarities to describe. The Emulator Archive is putting together some of this ancient synthesizer history, with the detail and insight that you expect from us.

We hope you finding this growing section of the web site interesting - and a good deal more informative than the thumb nails sketches elsewhere on the web.
