AM0301 Module - Oakley VCO

Overview This module is a standard Oakley VCO built into an AM module and panel format. This was one of the first modules to be built, so that there was a source of sounds when building other modules.

Circuit The Oakley design provides a stable source of sine, triangle, saw and pulse waveforms. With exponential and linear frequency control as well as PW modulation, this is a fine VCO.

Build The standard Oakley PCB was easy to put together and it was mounted onto the AM panel using the usual ECO solder pot brackets, spaced at 41 mm. The PCB is supported by the left hand column of pots.

The design has some minor modifications. There is a SYNC on/off toggle switch which connects this VCO to its twin in the modular cabinet. There is also a centre off toggle switch for selecting whether the VCO is sent the MIDI CV or the Sequencer CV, both CV's are in firmware - using Oakley Dizzy PCB's.
