AM Pro One Plus - Analog MonoSynth

Introduction In 1980 Sequential Circuits created a cracking analog mono synth in the Pro One, and they went on to sell over 10,000 of them in four years. With a voice architecture and CEM analog synth chips descended straight from the Prophet 5, this is one great sounding synth.

So why re-engineer a classic? Well it does sound excellent, but the keyboard is poor and the knobs and pots are really cheap and worn out after 20 years. The CEM3320 24dB low pass filter is very nice, but how about adding a 12dB CEM3320 Oberheim OBXa filter or the awesome SSM2040 24dB low pass filter ?

New Features The Pro One Plus takes a standard Pro One and expands it ...

  • Variable soft sync on the VCO's
  • A second LFO with an additional Random waveform
  • A new Sample & Hold circuit.
  • A new Noise Source with Pink, White and Low noise
  • A second VCF - a SSM2040 Low Pass Filter
  • A 3rd ADSR envelope generator

Refurbished Features The Pro One Plus has the following additional features:

  • New MDF wooden case
  • New deeper 3mm aluminium control panel
  • Replacement high quality rotary potentiometers
  • Replacement coloured toggle switches
  • Blue 5mm LED for Gate and LFO speed
  • Pink and White 5mm LED's for noise
  • High quality solid aluminium knobs in black
  • Refurbished keyboard with new bushes

Project Status Still at design level. Donor Pro One ready.
